Assalamualaikum Kurapak Readers yang me sayangi macam slalu & Happy Friday, apa khabar semua? i hope you all semua *tunjuk-tunjuk pakai munjung mulut* sihat, sihat, sihat, sihat, sihat, sihat and sihat. Alhamdulillah!Today i wanna share one of the most touching compliment yang me kana kirim via email. Guess what? tekinjut me, rupanya yang mengirim ani adi bradi sama Jenny Malai Ali from Kristal FM yow, jadinya adi bradi tah jua sama Paula Malai Ali yang di Channel V atu, astee...*blushing* Actually me pernah liat this madam at this fancy restaurant, she tagur me with friendly smile and it happen yang ia ani kawan my eldest brother(Pg Shukrey). i think dorang ani segeng masa teenage dulu, zaman-zaman Awie rambut panjang!! huhu.. Banarnya kurapak orang tua-tua, Damit hantap Brunei ani, everybody knows everybody!! and yupsss... the next thing i know.. Mr.Kurapak, U've Got Mail!! check this out peeps.. Dear Mr.Kurapak, I only looked at this blog after i heard you interviewed on the radio and also because you use Brunei Malay. It took me a few months as I am not into "glamour" or "blogs" but, your ideas and your use of Brunei language was interesting to me. It was my first language, i was a baby when i learnt Brunei malay, and i love it with all my heart. The very idea that there was a bruneian who used bruneian language as a "blog" was amazing to me. I am never amazed by anything as I find that we are trying to be too "western and malaysian" apologies to anyone out there with perfect english blogs but its dull and at times i cant understand what the hell you mean. I do have a thesoraus but i cant be bothered.... At all. full stop. A bruneian blog in brunei language that we all can love and laugh at? That , to me , is truly magical. I wont be blogging again after this because I dont like blogging as its not my thing , plus, I like my privacy but, to you, I say, thanks for making bruneian lingo so "lovely". Like ambuyat with a really good tempoyak. Like the nasi goreng my aunties would make at 2.00am in the morning with just the right amount of belachan and dried prawns, washed down with strong black " kopi". Thats what this blog is all about, tastes, love, identity and humour, the brunei way. To me, that is " expensive", it's a ticket into a world that only Bruneians can understand. If only there was more of you. Thanks yeah, you brought me out of my shell for a while. Meanwhile I choose to hide. Your blog is real and true " brabis"! Best Wishes and keep up your good and true work. Rachael Malai Ali p/s : Rachael, nudge me if u free, it's a pleasure for me to buy you a coffee! Hits: 3225 Comments (11)

... Couldn't agree with Rachael more. What she said was very true indeed. I, on behalf of the rest of other Bruneians am proud of you and your work Lin. Your blog is really one of a kind. It's very rare for someone to come up with this kind of creativeness that you have shown. Once again, your blog can be considered as one in a million! Live with pride Lin. Be proud, be VERY VERY Proud! Congratz!! And yeah, please don't stop blogging, we're asking for more!! |
